Matka troch detí Melanie Darnell prevádzkuje blog, v ktorom so svetom zdieľa svoj život „fit mamičky.“ Vyzerá to, že všetko dokonale zvláda, bez pochyby s pomocou manžela, pretože popri troch deťoch má čas aj na varenie zdravého jedla a cvičenie. Jedna z vecí, čo dosiahnuť nedokáže, je spánok.


Povolanie matky je najťažšie neplatené zamestnanie s doživotnou pracovnou dobou. Niečo ako „pracovný tábor“ s tým, že vás „malí otrokári“ nenechajú ani vyspať.

 

Melanie Darnell jedného dňa na strop prilepila kameru, aby natočila „spánok“ bežnej matky a teda vysvetlila, prečo majú mnohé kruhy pod očami. Je obdivu hodné, s akým úsmevom zvláda byť vzorovou fit mamičkou troch detí, keď niekoľko rokov prakticky vôbec nespí.

 

 

Melanie vysvetlila, že keď točila video, manžel bol na služobnej ceste, dvojročná dcérka mala zápal ucha a jej desaťmesačné bábätko prosto nevie zaspať a nedovolí to ani jej.

 

Pre zaujímavosť, jednou z najkrutejších metód mučenia, je odopieranie spánku – tzv. spánková deprivácia.

 

Napriek všetkej bolesti matky svoje deti milujú, a vďaka tomu môže život pokračovať.

A little due date workout. Recipe Time -> Ladies and Gentlemen (drum roll please 🥁) I am proud to introduce the one the only Carrot Dog! 🥕🌭 👏🏼 This veggie magic even wins over the meat-eaters and your heart will thank you ❤️ When I first came across this concept I myself was very skeptical but after one batch I was sold and has since became a staple in our house. My newest thing is marinating and baking a bag of baby carrots. The kids love them!! Especially when they get to eat them with a toothpick 🌭 —-—————————————————— INGREDIENTS: 1 cup vegetable broth 1⁄4 cup apple cider vinegar 2 tbsp rice vinegar 2 tbsp Bragg’s Liquid Amino 1⁄2 tsp liquid smoke 1 tbsp paprika 2 tsp mustard powder 1/2 tsp garlic powder 1/4 tsp black pepper 8 large carrots (peeled and cut to the size of the bun) 2 tbsp olive oil 8 hot dog buns Step 1: In a medium sauce pan, mix together the broth, vinegars, Bragg’s, liquid smoke, and spices. Bring it to a simmer and simmer the marinade while you prepare the carrots. Step 2: Rub the carrots with olive oil and place the carrots in a 9x13 inch baking dish. Step 3: Pour the marinade over the carrots, cover with foil and let sit for 2 hours. Step 4: When you are ready to cook the carrots, preheat the oven to 425F. Stick the carrots in the oven, still covered, and cook them for 25 minutes. Then take off the foil, turn them over and roast them for another 30 minutes. Transformation Tuesday. Me, 9 months pregnant with Milo (my third babe) verse me this morning with my 9 month old pulling my hair out 😝. After my first 2 kids my workout mission was to ‘get my pre-pregnancy body back!’ I wanted my abs, my muscle definition, my booty shorts and tight jeans back👖👙. Now my workout mission is sanity🧘‍♀️. As a full time working mom of 3 kids with a side hustle I no longer have my gym membership but have adopted 💯 percent home workouts that average 20 mins long. Seriously just a little bit of regular movement/exercise everyday can go a long way🤸🏻‍♀️. I do it for my own happiness, to feel confident in my body, to have energy to keep up with my kids, to regain patience, and to have fun! ❤️ Exercise and physical fitness has been part of my whole life bc I have very active parents (who still workout) and started gymnastics at a very young age. It’s in my blood its part of who I am and I didn’t want to lose that post kids. My workouts have certainly been modified since having kids and now they take place at home often with at least one of my kids joining in 👯‍♀️. Monday Meal (the WHAT & the WHY) - Ok seriously my family’s food life revolves around what can be made in t-minus 15 minutes ⏲. (which is why I love Sunday meal prep) and have slowly mastered many fast (but delicious and nutritious) weeknight meals. This is a kid fav because it’s pasta 🍝 and mom fav because it’s exploding with nutrition 🥑 A common saying in our house is ‘Greens to Grow’ 🌿📏. Below I share the what and the why is in this meal. After a series of sleepless nights, a busy weekend and an extra early Monday morning to say I felt tired today is quite the understatement. When complaining to the hub that I was feeling overly tired his suggestion was to try and get a workout in, get the blood flowing with the hope of jolting my brain back to life. So I did just that! (also you need a hat if you are going to be an actor in Sage’s show) Today’s workout: . Shuffle warm-up Mountain climbers (50) Tricep dips (25) Side lunges (10 each side) Dive bombers (10) Squated jab punch (50 punches) Squat side-kick (10 each side) Finish with a little stretching . Recipe! I personally LOVE mushrooms but know not everyone feels the same. However, if you do like them their hearty texture is a fabulous 'meat' replacement for those who need one. 🍔 Portobellos have a balance of carbs and protein and are low in fat. I paired it was a yummy salad for that summer vibe but you can throw it on a bun for a portobello burger or throw it on top of a rice bowl. For the kids we just plated them with 2 mushrooms strips, half an avo, and sliced cherry tomatoes with hummus for dipping. ——————————————————— Ingredients: 4 portobello caps 1/2 cup Water 2 tbsp Bragg Liquid Aminos 3 tsp Dijon Mustard 2 tsp Olive Oil 1/2 tsp Liquid smoke ————————— 1️⃣ take a wet paper towel and wash mushroom caps and gently remove stem. Then slice into strips and place in baking dish 2️⃣ whisk remaining ingredients together to create marinade 3️⃣ Pour marinade over mushrooms and ensure all sides of the mushroom pieces get some. Might require some periodic rotation. Marinate for at least 15mins 4️⃣ preheat oven to 400F 5️⃣ bake mushrooms for 20mins 😋 ENJOY! #fitmommakitchen

This is my 32… {envision a time machine taking you all the way back to Jan 10, 1986} Ok here we go… . 1986 - Born and raised in Delaware. Oldest of 3 girls (where my first sate peeps at!) 2007 - Transitioned to vegetarian 2008 - Hokie (VT) graduate with a degree in Political Science and Accounting 2008 - Took my first job in Washington DC (performing financial audits for Congress) and lived their for 3 years 2011 - Moved to LA to be closer to my stunt man (and was able to transfer with my job) 2012 - Married the love of my life @diddydarnell 2013 - Started my Fitmomma IG documenting my fit pregnancy (some of you have been with me since I was fitmomma2be 😘) 2014 - Bought our first house 2014 - Transitioned to veganism (20 weeks pregnant with my first) 2014 - My first child was born (Mr. Sage) 2015 - Moved to our 2nd house (the one we live in now) 2015 - My second baby was born (baby girl Olive) 2017 - My third and final baby joined our life (Mr. Milo) 2017 - Started my own business!! 🌱 I help people seamlessly transition to a vegan lifestyle and feel confident they are meeting all of the nutritional needs of their family through a whole food vegan diet! 🍎🍌🥦 (While it’s growing it still remains my main side hustle while I continue to perform financial audits full time) 2018 - 1/10/18 Happy 32nd Birthday to me! .
